Adija's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize, as well as a solar light.

Adija's Group's story

Adija is 41 years old and has 4 children. She has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is always said to be a very reliable person. Even though Adija is the only one featured in the above picture, she is actually representing her group of 16 farmers in the Teso District of Kenya.

Adija started working alongside One Acre Fund in 2010, deciding to do so because she wanted to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds. Since then, she has seen her life improve, especially because she has been able to consistently feed her family ever since. This year, she decided to represent her group because she wanted to be more active in her community.

Adija’s Group will receive farming inputs to plant a total of 12 acres of land. Additionally, some of the farmers in the group will be purchasing a solar light so, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of 5 solar lights.
