Racheal's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season.

Racheal's Group's story

Pictured above is Racheal, who, as a group leader, is representing her group formed by eight farmers in Teso District, Kenya. A mother of seven, she is known in her community as a very reliable person.

Initially, Racheal joined One Acre Fund in 2012 because she wanted to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds. Since joining the program, her life has improved, especially because she has had more profits from each harvest. With the profits from the coming harvesting season, Racheal plans to send her children to school.

Among the eight farmers in Racheal's Group, a total of 5.75 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan. Additionally, two of the farmers will be purchasing a solar light with this loan.
