Rodah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy certified and hybrid fertilizers to improve her tea farming and elevate her standard of living, as well as educate her children through the profits generated.

Rodah's story

This season, Juhudi Kilimo is celebrating hardworking women such as Rodah, who resides in the Eldoret area of Kenya.

Rodah is the mother of lovely children and is a rural smallholder farmer. Rodah is married to a fellow farmer. Her family's main source of income is milk from their dairy farm. However, they are also involved in other agricultural activities such as growing different crops.

The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from her village, like Rodah, can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Rodah is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide to improve her crop farm.

Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve the quality of life for her family. She hopes to improve the conditions of her house.

Kindly and humbly lend to a woman smallholder farmer!
