Los Andenes Group's story

Our members meet every 30 days in the city of Yucay. The city of Yucay is 48 kilometers from Cusco. It is one of the most welcoming places in the Sacred Valley of the Incas because of its climate, pleasant scenery, and impressive terraced agriculture. The members belong to the Los Andenes Communal Bank of the Arariwa Association. It is comprised of 15 members. Clever is the president of the communal bank. Our members Edgar, Doris, Delia, Eveling, Gabina, and Estela sell handicrafts. Other members, like Irene, sell vegetables. Victor and Ricardino sell meat, Clever and Jessica are teachers, and Edid provides transportation services. The members need the loan to increase their business capital and buy more materials to make handicrafts. The others will buy more products. Our member, Luis, is 41. He has two children, but he is separated from his wife. He works for a private company as a gardener in Urubamba. He has been in this business for several years. It has gone very well for him thanks to the effort he puts into his work. He needs the loan for personal expenses. The members appreciate and value the loan, and they promise to make their payments on time. (Victor, Yessica, and Edgar are not in the video. They asked the governing board of the bank for permission to miss the meeting.)
