Samina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a wood cutting machine for her husband's carpentry workshop.

Samina's story

Samina is a 51-year-old lady. Her residence is in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is pictured with her husband. She is the mother of three children. Her husband owns a furniture shop in which he makes wooden furniture, such as chairs, tables, wardrobes, and beds. He buys planks and timber from the market. He cuts the raw wood into multiple sizes for making furniture.

His wood cutting machine is out of order due to continuous use for a long time. The demand for manufacturing suddenly increased. He has already spent all his saving to buy raw material. Now, he does not have enough cash in hand to fix the wood cutting machine.

Therefore, Samina has requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, so her husband can buy a wood cutting machine.

Samina is very thankful to Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan for this honorable support.
