Tamas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped the business to buy new green-house and help fund a box-truck in order to be able to transport the vegetables and fruits to Farmers Market. The old vehicle is not big enough for the transport the expanded demand.

Tamas's story

I was born in Hungary and I finished my education in this middle-Europeans country. After studying three construction related trades, I felt that this was not my calling. I tried a few jobs. I was a plumber, electrician, carpenter, and handyman. The income was enough to support my family, but I had no pleasure. This is when luck (that I do not have pleasure to meet very often) knocked on my door. A friend needed help on his farm. This was only a seasonal work, but it was something new. Something different. I knew, that what I want more that anything, is to work at a farm. After a long conversation with my wife, Kati, I decided to start my own business. We moved from our home in the city to the countryside. And our story begins. The beginning never easy, but we did not give up. The bunnies ate up our salads, the birds picked our fruits. After years of hard work and hardship, the business began to bear fruit. Time and experience slowly gave us the freedom of knowledge. We started to have more and more fresh product. We learned how to “save” our goods from the animals, and how to keep the farms ecosystem in balance. Our products are free from any chemicals. In the process, we learned to appreciate the healthy living and nutrition far from the city fast and sometimes crazy life. Today, 9 years later, I live with my wife Kati and our 16-year-old daughter, Viki, who is our miracle-baby. Now, we have a wonderful family with a growing farming business! Our goals are to keep the local people healthy with the necessary nutrients in an affordable price.
