Esther's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy different types of cereals to sell to her dairy customers and make more profits to take care of her children.

Esther's story

In her many years of farming, Esther has had to make a lot of serious decisions. She sometimes makes mistakes, but she always learns from them. Esther has learnt how to handle adversity. The best trait about her is that she never quits.

Her main way of obtaining an income is by selling milk and crops in her local market. This has enabled her to gain more skill in sales and good customer relationships.

Esther pays her full attention to farming. In order to supplement her meager income, Esther wants to start buying different varieties of cereals from local farmers and selling them to her customers at the local market. Through this engagement, she will earn a commission that she intends to use to repay the loan and elevate her standard of living.

This loan is, therefore, an opportunity that she has never had before. Her irregular income and lack of collateral security were the main drawbacks limiting her from accessing a loan from commercial banks.

Thanks to Juhudi Kilimo and Kiva, the lives of Esther and her family will be changed through this loan.
