A loan helped to build a new concrete toilet with a proper septic tank and drainage system.

Havabai's story

Havabai is a 50-year-old widowed woman. She resides in the Kutch district of Gujarat state. She has a family of 2 members. She is a homemaker and manages to accumulate an amount of INR 20,000 per month.

The toilet she and her family are using is in bad condition -- without a concrete roof, walls, or a permanent door. The floor is broken down and the walls have dampened. The materials used to build the toilet are not very sturdy. The seasonal changes, especially heavy rain, cause damage to the tin sheets and weak roof. They also face clogging and dripping issues, creating an unhygienic environment.

Havabai wants to build a new concrete toilet with a proper septic tank and drainage system. However, her savings are not enough to meet her basic wish. She has applied for a sanitation loan of INR 15,000 from Prayas, one of Milaap's field partners. She is thankful for your support.
