Damira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her herd and sales of organic milk.

Damira's story

Damira is 58 years old, married and has 5 grown-up children. Damira has high school education and works as a cook at a local school. She is a very hard-working and responsible woman by nature.

To provide an additional source of income for her family, Damira has been involved in animal husbandry and farming from 1990. Thanks to her hard work and her husband's help with the farm, Damira currently has 3 cows, 23 sheep on her farm, as well as 2,59 hectares of land where she grows beans and plums.

Damira has a contract to supply organic milk to a local dairy processing plant. This allows her to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Having learnt that at Bai Tushum bank, there is a 'Value-Added Chain' program that allows to receive a loan using a future sales contract as a collateral, Damira applied for a loan of 250,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows to increase her cattle headcount and volume of organic milk for sale. The plant's payments for milk will be deposited directly to Damira's bank account, and the loan repayment installments will be deducted automatically.

Damira plans to invest the profits from the loan into further development of her agricultural business and purchase of more cattle and save a portion of the profits for construction of a new house.
