Carlos Torre 2 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy merchandise to sell like rice, salt, sugar, beans, seasonings, and bread among other things.

Carlos Torre 2 Group's story

Lizia came to the Dominican Republic from Haiti 40 years ago in search of a better quality of life. She lives in a rural community of sugarcane workers in the province of San Pedro de Macoris. Like any entrepreneurial woman, she provides for the livelihood of her family.

Lizia has a grocer's shop where she sells rice, salt, sugar, beans, seasonings, and bread among other things. Lizia says that one of the challenges of maintaining the grocer's shop is having good sales, and that there are low seasons in which she does not sell much.

Lizia could not finish school due to lack of financial resources; she could only go up to fourth grade but this did not impede her work nor her family's opportunity to get ahead.

Lizia's goal is to increase her business and have her own house. Lizia needs to buy merchandise for her grocer's shop and, in this way, keep generating income to support her family.

Thank you for contributing to the Carlos Torre 2 group.
