Veng Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more chickens and feed.

Veng Group's story

Residing in Chitungwiza is Gladys, a 32-year-old lady who is passionate about her business. She is blessed with three children, and her husband is a communal farmer.

Previous loans have helped her grow in business, and she also managed to finish building her house.

Gladys runs a grocery tuck shop and a poultry business from her home. She keeps batches of 100 birds every month and her fowl run has capacity of carrying 200 birds. She sells these chickens to local butcheries. As for the grocery shop, she restocks weekly from town.

Realizing that both her businesses are very profitable, she felt the need to source additional capital to expand operations.

Gladys teamed up with her friend Elizabeth, who also runs a good horticulture business growing a variety of crops, as well as poultry rearing.

Veng Group applied for a further loan of $1,300. Gladys used her share to buy more chickens and feed.

She is especially targeting to sell her chickens during the festive season.
