Johanna Fernanda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase: chickens, corn, balanced feed, wire mesh, and wood to improve the pen.

Johanna Fernanda's story

Fernanda is 20 years old. She is a single mother of one daughter who is one year and five months old. All of the responsibility for the care and education of the little girl rests on her shoulders. She lives with her parents and siblings in a small rural community in the town of Montufar in Ecuador.

Fernanda has worked in agriculture since she was very young, breeding guinea pigs, chickens, and pigs. Her family is low-income because of which the agricultural activities are her only and main source of income.

The work for a daily wage is unstable because of which breeding animals represents a good opportunity to afford the household needs when work is scarce. The main difficulty that Fernanda faces is the lack of capital.

She is requesting a loan to purchase chickens, corn, and balanced feed, as well as wood and wire mesh to improve the nursery’s structure. This will be represented by better profits in the future. Thus, she will be able to continue fighting for her daughter’s well-being.
