Gilda's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy onions, potatoes, garlic and vegetables from small farmers in her community and sell to the market.

Gilda's story

Gilda is a 37-year-old Mozambican woman. She is married and lives with her husband and their five children in Tete, in the north of Mozambique.

Gilda is a hard-working woman who is always looking for an opportunity to support her family as well as her husband who works as a driver. Aiming to increase the income in her family, Gilda started to plant some crops on her farm such as onions, green peppers and maize. Since she has been able to find a good market, the demand for the products has grown, so Gilda decided to move a step forward and started collecting crops from other small farmers in her community.

Since her market has increased as has the demand for other crops, Gilda has a new challenge to satisfy her clients and maintain her business. She needs to buy more crops in advance for her faithful clients.

This is why, Gilda is requesting a Kiva loan to buy more crops such as onions, potatoes, garlic and vegetables from the small farmers in her community, so that she can maintain her clients and also continue supporting her family.

Gilda's dream is to buy a truck so that she can easily deliver the crops for her clients. She plans to do this with her husband who is a good driver.
