Ivy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to start her own poultry business, keeping meat chickens for sale.

Ivy's story

Ivy is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in Gokwe South in Zimbabwe. Ivy is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own poultry business, keeping meat chickens for sale. Ivy plans to use the profit she earns to diversify to a market gardening business and grow her market share in her community.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering for four hours per week as a Young Woman on Transition, to shadow and support Learner Guides as they carry out sessions at schools and convene study groups in communities, and to follow up with students with attendance challenges and dropouts.
