Total loan: $2,675

Pontianak, West Kalimantan, Indonesia / Retail

Stefanus's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 370 water filters to sell to his community members, providing them with safe drinking water.

Stefanus's story

Mr Stefanus lives in Pontianak, West Borneo, and is the father of one child.

There is a lot of water in Borneo but most of it is pitch black because of peat. Rivers are contaminated with mercury and wells with bacteria that make you ill. That is why Stefanus started selling Nazava water purifiers years ago. Nazava water filters turn dirty well, river, tap, and rain water into water that is safe to drink.

Stefanus explains: "Nazava products are increasingly in demand by the public. The proof is that there are always new orders. We are grateful that in the last four months we have been able to enter new areas, where previously no water purifiers were available. We continue to do water counseling and also online and offline promotions. The presence of Nazava Water Filters is very helpful for the West Kalimantan community."

This is the tenth time Stefanus has applied for a loan. He has an excellent record in repaying his loans. This loan will allow Stefanus to buy 370 filters and sell them on consignment to his community, making safe drinking water available to 1,850 people.
