Dodie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped take the existing 25 titles of Park Smarts for Kids Activity Books to the digital arena and buy inventory of a plush doll character (Coyote Joe) that will boost sales of all products.

Dodie's story

I was born in San Antonio, Texas that is rich in history. As a very young girl I was taught to appreciate the outdoors and our natural environment. I moved to a small town in Idaho when I was nine just after my mother passed away. The loss of my mother suddenly at such a young age was very traumatic. Nature helped me through the terrible loss of her. I learned to love the beautiful forests and creeks as I developed into a young woman. In my early teens I moved to far northern California where I learned to love the valleys and high mountain lakes and deep forests. In my early thirties I moved to Arizona to live in the beautiful Sonoran desert, which is where I reside. My love for children and our national parks motivated me to reign in my artistic side and bring to the market products that teach children. I was once a CEO of a company for five years that was successful in penetrating the national park gift stores with its large series of text/photography books on our national parks. During this career choice I learned that very little was available for teaching our children in fun ways about these precious lands. I resigned in 2013 and went to work on Park Smarts for Kids series of products. My dreams for the future is to see more and more Park Smarts for Kids products on store shelves and watching the results of what Park Smarts is designed to do, teach the next generation to appreciate these wonderous lands and continue to keep them preserved for their children and grand children and many more generations to come.
