A loan helped to buy baby fish and pigs for raising.

Na Tau 110 Group's story

Vien, 28, is a Thai ethnic woman who lives with her 9-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter in a small house. Her husband has to work in Vietnam's capital to earn more income because their income mainly comes from agriculture, so that is not enough to cover the children's tuition fees and living expenses.

She has to work several jobs such as growing rice and arrowroot and raising fish, chickens, buffalos and ducks. Vien has a good reputation in her village. Sometimes she helps her villagers through information activities on population and family planning.

Recently, she has taken her sixth loan from the Anh Chi Em program to purchase baby fish and pigs for raising and selling. She hopes she will have a great profit with which to better support her family.

She wishes that her husband did not have to work far away from their children and that the family will always be filled with warmth and happiness. In the picture, Vien stands first from the right.
