Na Tau 108 Group's story

Dien, 38, is a Thai ethnic woman. There are 9 members in her family of which 4 children attend school. They live in a remote village in a poor mountainous province where people rely mainly on small-scale agricultural production. Dien did not have the chance to go to school when she was young because of her family's difficult situation. She has all her children go to school so they will have better lives than her.

After repaying six loans from the Anh Chi Em program successfully, this will be Dien's seventh loan from ACE. She will use the loan to purchase fingerlings (baby fish) for raising and selling. Dien hopes that the fish will grow up healthy and quickly so she can profit greatly.

Dien hopes that her family will move out of poverty and have a better future. In the picture, she is sitting at the far right.
