Andrew's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Andrew's Group's story

Pictured above is Andrew, often described as an extremely hard-working individual. He is 50 years old and has ten children. As a group leader, he is representing his group of 11 farmers in Mumias District, Kenya.

Andrew is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again since this means that he is able to get the best quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds, which is why he decided to join in the first place.

Andrew says that he is happy to have made that decision because, since he first joined in 2015, he has been able to consistently feed his family, which has significantly improved his day-to-day life. Andrew will use the profits from this season to send his children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of ten acres. Given that one of the members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of one solar light.
