A loan helped to start her own tuck shop to sell various grocery items and household products.

Danisile's story

Danisile is an 18-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in the Gokwe South in Zimbabwe.

She is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own tuck shop, where she will sell various grocery items and household products. Danisile plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and help her family.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering four hours per week as a Young Woman in Transition. She will shadow and support Transition Guides as they carry out sessions in communities and Learner Guides, following up students with attendance challenges and those who have dropped out of school.
