Fozia's story

Fozia is a 41-year-old woman living with her spouse in the area of Muzaffargarh, Pakistan. They reside in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity and plumbing.

A mother of five, Fozia has been running an embroidery business for eight years to pay for household expenses. Her language is Punjabi, which she speaks with her family, and she speaks Urdu culturally and for her business.

Fozia's enterprise is very famous in the area, which is why it is doing well, and due to good relations, her customer base has increased. The challenge she is facing is to have sufficient capital to run the business and be able to support her family.

Fozia wants to satisfy the demand for bridal dresses and so humbly requested a loan from BRAC Pakistan to buy thread, fancy cloth, sequins and pearls of various colors to have them in stock. She and her family would be thankful to Kiva, its lenders and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.
