Zaina's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve her harvests of maize.

Zaina's Group's story

Zaina is often described as an extremely hardworking individual. She is 42 years old, the mother of five children, and leads a group of thirteen farmers in Kenya's Mumias District.

Zaina is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund because it will give her access to quality training and new farming methods, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Zaina says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2015, she has been able to consistently feed her family, something that has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Zaina will use the profits from this season's harvest to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to buy seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of eight acres. One member of this group will also receive a solar light.
