Marleny Rocio's story
Marleny is 40 years old, married, and lives in her own home with her only child. She manages a vending post at a market in Ica where she sells eggs. Marleny started this business two years ago with a small amount of capital that consisted of savings and loans. Over time her business has grown. Her customers always return to conduct repeat business because they are treated in a warm and friendly manner. Marleny now tries to save as much of her earnings as possible so that she can reinvest into her business and keep it growing. In the future, she dreams of earning better income so that she can provide a good education for her young child. The loan she is requesting will be used to make improvements to her home which was affected by the earthquake.
