La Ceiba, Atlantida, Atlántida Department, Honduras / Food

Rosa Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy meat, staple grains, vegetables, condiments, soda, oil, and other products she needs for meal preparation.

Rosa Maria's story

Rosa is 39 years old, is in a common-law marriage, has one son and lives with her spouse in the municipality of La Ceiba, Atlántida. For two years, Rosa has made a living selling meals. From her house, she offers clients from the area breakfasts and lunches such as baleadas [thick tortillas filled with beans and other ingredients], tacos, fried chicken with fried plantains, beef stew, soups, and other dishes.

Rosa is requesting her second cycle of loan from the institution for a total of 20,000 Lempiras, in order to buy meat, staple grains, vegetables, condiments, soda, oil, and other products she needs for meal preparation. This will allow her to stock her inventory with more kitchen products, which she plans to buy at better prices given the larger quantities. In this way, she will obtain more earnings from the volume of her sales.

Rosa's goal is to make her business grow, attract new clients, and move her business to its own location.
