George's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a water storage tank and water to sell.

George's story

George is a 49-year-old man who is married with two children who are 16 and 25 years old. He is a water vendor and also sells mobile phone accessories and auto spare parts.

George lives at Joma, a new community near Ablekuma in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, where people have started building their houses. Since Joma is a new community, it is very difficult for contractors to get access to water to build. George accessed a kiva fund and started a water vending business in the community three years ago and the business is thriving. With the proceeds from the business, he has also started an auto spare parts business.

With this loan, he will be able to buy water from water tanker operators and a small water storage tank to store more water. He believes that with this loan, he will earn more income and will be able to open more business branches in Accra and beyond.

Thank you, Kiva lenders, for supporting George's business!
