Tserenminjin is 40 years old and lives with her husband and five children in Uvs province, Mongolia. She and her family live together in a ger, a traditional Mongolian nomadic tent. Her oldest daughter woks, two sons are in the university and the youngest son is in kindergarten. Her husband is a security guard at a private company. Tserenminjin owns and operates a successful household goods retail business in her town. At first, she used to purchase her products from the biggest markets in Ulaanbaatar city. Eventually she was able to import her products from China. She started her business in 2005. She attributes its success to her excellent accounting skills and her hard work. She hopes to move her business into her own store one day, so that she can expand the number of products she sells. Tserenminjin is requesting a 500,000-tugrug loan to purchase more household goods so that she can attract new customers.
