Ghada's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an oven for her family’s bakery.

Ghada's story

Ghada is a 40-year-old Jordanian woman and mother of five. She runs a small bakery with her husband and oldest son.

With a lifelong love of baking, she and her husband opened a bakery 14 years ago where they make bread for shawarma. She loves working with her family and serving her customers with quality products.

Ghada and her family have experienced financial difficulties and hardship, especially after the passing of her father.

Ghada asked for a 500 JOD loan from Kiva field partner, Microfund for Women, to purchase a new oven, which would increase productivity levels and allow her to make pastries in addition to bread.

She dreams of expanding her bakery so she can make all types of delicious breads, pastries, and desserts and pass on these traditions to her children.
