LETUI, Savai'i, Samoa / Agriculture

Sa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a backback sprayer, and a chainsaw.

Sa's story

Sa is a 46-year-old widowed woman with five children. She runs a business of selling taro and bananas in her community to earn a living. She has four years of experience with this business. Sa works very hard to please her customers with her fresh taro and bananas.

She thinks she will earn more income if she plants more bananas and taro, but in order to do this, Sa needs a loan to buy taro roots (seedlings), banana tubes (seedlings), chemicals, a backback sprayer and a chainsaw, to help her run the business. She even delivers her products to the flea market by using the bus (transportation).

She comes from a family in which no ones works to earn a living; only her business will help her family's needs. Her dream is that one day her family will have a great living standard.

She became a member of SPBD in 2016 to seek financing for her business. Sa realized that your support will be a big help for her and her family to develop through financing.
