Sumaira's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy grocery items for her store including oil, ghee, sugar, pulses and bakery items.

Sumaira's story

Sumaira is a 38-year-old woman. She lives with her four children and spouse in Gujranwala, Pakistan. Her growing family has been facing the challenge of meeting expenses with the very little income of her husband.

The idea to open a small general store emerged 2 years ago when she took the initiative to add basic grocery and food items in her store at community level. The idea worked well but she has been unable to add some of the necessary items at her store including oil, ghee, sugar, pulses and bakery items due to unavailability of financial resources.

To solve this problem, she has requested a loan from JWS Pakistan. This loan shall help her to purchase inventory for the grocery store and increase her income in a sustainable manner.

She is thankful to KIVA & JWS Pakistan.
