Ysabel's story

Ysabel, aged 38, is a mother who deeply loves her family. She lives in a house of relatives of hers, with her husband Félix, aged 43, and their three children: Maribel is 13, Luis 11 and Edwar 7 years old. She wants most of all to provide her family with a decent life.

The store, in which she sells handicrafts, is temporarily located at the Explanada Laguna, where the trade fairs are held in Juliaca. Her store attracts a lot of customers, since she is a very cheerful and charismatic businesswoman who gives her full cordial attention to her customers. Her models on sale are very new, because she wants to differentiate herself from other knitters. What she likes best about her job is to talk with her customers and learn about things happening at the market. She has been in this business for 11 years. According to her, the hardest part in her activity is to stay the whole day in her store without having a chance to leave and go about other activities. For the future she hopes that her business will grow and that she will be able to produce more handicrafts and thus raise her income.

This is Ysabel's sixth loan with Microfinanzas Prisma and, just as she did with her previous loans, she is committed to repaying it on schedule, since she is aware that otherwise she would run into trouble in her community bank, where she is well regarded for her reliability. She will use her 2000 nuevos soles to buy new materials to produce more handicrafts.
