A loan helped to buy food for the pigs and chickens.

Thanh Luong 56 Group's story

The woman standing first on the right in the photo is Phuong Mai. She was born in 1992 and is a Thai ethnic woman. She is married and has two children at the age of 8 and 1. Her husband works as a chef in a restaurant. Her family lives in a Thai stilt house in a poor and remote area. Most of her income is from agricultural production. Her main hardship is the lack of capital to expand her farm.

This time she has taken her share of a loan from Anh Chi Em to purchase bran for pigs and chickens to raise and sell. She will use the profit from this investment to reinvest in the animal husbandry.

Phuong Mai dreams of giving the best education to her children because she does not want her children to go through as many hardships as she has in life.
