Aminata K's Female Farmers Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for improved seed, organic inputs, and tractor rental which will allow these farmers to escape subsistence by farming a larger area with a higher yield.

Aminata K's Female Farmers Group's story

Aminata K (1st on left), featured borrower of Aminata K's Female Farmers group, is a master farmer in Rogbesseh village and has a large family of 10. She is a strong leader in the community and regularly organizes women's activities. She is a seasoned farmer who lost her business during the Ebola crisis as well as several extended family members, but refuses to give up despite losing a lifetime of work. As a result, Aminata has organized a large group of other women who similarly had prospered before the crisis, lost everything but now will not give up. All members are currently trapped in a cycle of subsistence and take extremely high-interest loans for poor quality inputs during planting time. A no-interest Kiva loan will therefore enable this group of determined women to get back on their feet and back in business.
