Sumani's story
Sumani is a young wife and mother of three. She is 23 and lives in the Shahrinav district. She and her children live with her parents, since her husband is currently abroad as he wasn't able to find work in their own country. She raises her children at home and at the same time runs her own sewing business. Her young daughter is already four and her sons are seven and six and attending school.
After her third child was born, Sumani learned to cut and sew women's clothing. She quickly learned this trade so that she could start earning a living right away and improve her family's financial situation. She has now been running this business from her home for two years.
Sumani is taking out a loan to buy fabric and other materials to sew dresses. This loan will help prevent her from losing her source of income by helping her expand her business.
