A loan helped to purchase raw foods to sell to stock the business and sustain his family.

Confiando En Dios 5 Group's story

Alfredo is a 46-year-old man, very concerned about his children. He lives in a batey [a rural community of sugarcane workers] in La Romana, a province of the Dominican Republic. The primary agricultural activity of the area is the production of sugarcane, followed by cattle raising, both for milk as well as meat. There is a strong tourism business, especially on Saona Island. Following in importance are the cities of La Romana, Altos de Chavón, Catalina Island, and Cumayasa. It is there that the bateys are found, which surround the cane fields, with very impoverished houses, remote from the city and its conveniences.

It is there that Alfredo seeks new hope for his family. He has a steady job but he saw the need, due to the low salary he gets, to seek alternatives to support his children. Eight months ago, he formed a business where he primarily sells groceries, but if he has gasoline or coal, requested often in the batey for vehicle transport and cooking food, to sell, he does. The primary motivation is to supply his children's needs. He dreams of educating them so that in the future they can become professionals.

Alfredo asks for this loan from Esperanza to stock his business, assuring fresh groceries for his customers and, so, to sustain and supply his children's necessities.

The Confiando en Dios 5 group thanks you for the support of their progress.
