A loan helped for restocking second hand clothing bales preparing for the festive season.

Heritage Juru Group's story

Ashel pursues a cross border business, reselling secondhand clothes from Mozambique, taking advantage of her close proximity to the Mozambique border. She sells her products locally at Mutoko rank market. Her business helps her supplement her husband’s income; her husband is very supportive of her in the running and planning of the business issues. She is a happily married lady aged 31, with two dependents who both attend school. She is very happy that through her business she is able to send her children to school and to put food on the table.

Ashel joined hands with two other ladies to form a group they called Heritage. The group is based in Mutoko. Their first loan helped them grow their profits as well as disposable income. Their livelihoods have since improved significantly. The group is on their second loan with Ashel’s share being used for restocking with secondhand clothing bales in preparation for the festive season. Her business is the major contributor to her household upkeep. It also helps her achieve one of her dream which is seeing her children attending school.
