Melissa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped increase curved wooden rafter production so we can launch new designs!
While I never envisioned an entrepreneurial lifestyle for myself, I have never been able to resist an adventure, and when I paired up with my husband Rocy, also the adventurous type but with a 'wicked' independent streak, it was perhaps inevitable that we would end up carving our own path to a livelihood in rural Maine. What can I say? He is the Gandalf to my Bilbo. We both grew up in the same small town in Maine, though with an age difference of five years we were a "lifetime" apart and only came to know each other as adults. By the time we "met", between the two of us we had independently traveled to 6 continents, yet both of us had ultimately chosen to return to the only place that we could ever call "home". We're both deeply rooted to this place, and to the people who live here, our family. We wanted to raise our family here, too. Our goal for Wooden Wonders is that it not only provides us with a livelihood, but also a lifestyle that allows us to teach our children the values we hold dear-- integrity, loyalty, and perseverance high among them. If we can grow a business that is worthy of them taking it over from us one day, then our dreams for this business would be fulfilled.
