Megan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped source cost-effective and quality-driven production, manufacture my second round of garments, and work on product developments and enhancements.

Megan's story

Combining design with social impact is where I've found my niche in the fashion industry. I grew up in Dayton, Ohio, and have had a passion for creativity ever since I was a young girl. In college, I really struggled to find a way to integrate my passion for social good within the bounds of fashion design. I had what I like to call an “epiphany” moment in my third year of studies when I had the idea of designing a collection of clothing for women diagnosed with breast cancer. After long discussions with my mom and hearing her struggles and pain points throughout her treatment and beyond, I realized that this idea was bigger and more important than I ever even dreamed it could be. And, so began my journey of designing purposeful clothing. I've since been able to approach the challenges many women face when undergoing treatment for breast cancer with both fashion and function in mind. I believe that utilizing this combination of fashion and function will break boundaries within the industry, and will open doors to great opportunities in niche markets. Clothing doesn't just have to be stylish, it can serve a great purpose as well. I've continued to grow my business mindset as a newfound entrepreneur, and never cease to fulfill my love for creativity and great craftsmanship. I have a special passion for teamwork, love being inspired by those around me, and always have a constant drive to help others. I see this company becoming a nationally recognized fashion brand someday, and intend to do everything I can to see this through. I’m currently fulfilling my entrepreneurial dreams in Cincinnati, Ohio, and am loving every minute of this incredible journey.
