Posseh's story
Meet 37-year-old Posseh from Waterloo 1 branch. She is married with two children between the ages of 15 and 19 years old. Two of them are currently attending school.
Posseh runs a retail business and sells biscuits, corn flakes, milk, cocoa, ovaltine, sugar, chocolate, pringles, cheese, sardines, etc. to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years now and works 10 hours per day, six days a week. Her other source of income is from her husband. Her main challenge is the increase in the price of the goods.
Posseh requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more biscuits, corn flakes, milk, cocoa, ovaltine, sugar, chocolate, pringles, cheese, sardines, etc. to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help her to improve her standard of living and to improve her business. In the next five years, she wants to expand to a big shop. She gives thanks and appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
