Virginia's story

Virginia, aged 31 years, lives in Harare, Zimbabwe. She is married and lives with her husband and two children, one in primary school and one in infant school. Virginia also stays with her niece and her brother-in-law, both of whom are in college.

For the past ten years, Virginia has been running a business selling hardware. She sells items such as window frames, cutting discs, steel rods and padlocks. Her husband helps her to run the business, and it is the family's only source of income.

Virginia has requested a loan from Microhub to purchase additional stocks of window frames, cutting discs, steel rods and padlocks as she has been getting increased sales from people who are building their houses. Income from this business will help Virginia to pay educational fees for her children, niece and brother-in-law. She also pays for the family's accommodation and general upkeep from this business.
