Sobbeh"hard Working" Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to pay for improved seed, organic inputs, and tractor rental which will allow these farmers to escape subsistence by farming a larger area with a higher yield.

Sobbeh"hard Working" Group's story

Jariatu K (first on the left), the featured borrower of Sobbeh "Hard Working" Group, is a married 35-year-old mother of five. She supports her entire family with farming on four acres which she also subsidizes with petty trading. Life for Jariatu is hard, and she, like all group members, is currently trapped in a cycle of subsistence. She takes extremely high-interest loans for poor quality inputs during planting time.

A no-interest Kiva loan will enable Jariatu and this group of determined women to escape the cycle of subsistence to grow their businesses sustainably.
