Angela's story

Meet 40 year old Angela from Moriba town branch. She is married with 3 children.

Angela runs a beauty salon business and sells different kinds of hair, weavon, hair shampoo, hair gel, paming cream, vaseline etc to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 11 years now and works 9 hours per day and 6 days a week. She has 2 employees employed to run the salon. Her main challenges are increases in the prices of goods and transportation. Her other source of income is from her husband.

Angela requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more hair, weavon, vaseline, shampoo, conditioner and other items used in running the salon, to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to educate her children. In the next 5 years she wants to expand to a greater height.

She says thanks and appreciates BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
