Arthur's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics for making T-shirts to sell.

Arthur's story

Arthur is a tailor who launched his own shop 10 years ago. His guiding spirit and his sense of responsibility have pushed him toward success. Since he works in the textile industry, Arthur operates on a seasonal basis.

The clothing industry in Haiti is sustainable, but sometimes it is affected by increased importation of used cheap clothing from the United States and Panama. However, this business sector has remained solid since people in general rely on the services of tailors, particularly people who live in the countryside. They utilize the services of tailors like Arthur to obtain suits and dresses for special occasions, gowns for graduation, choir robes, and school uniforms. The main elements customers are looking for are well-made outfits, on-time delivery, a selection of good fabrics, and excellent customer service.

Arthur has an opportunity to make more profits. A financial analysis of his business showed that if he increases his stock of fabrics before the end of the year, he will have the time to sell everything he makes before next summer. His goal to increase his sales volume of T-shirts is realistic (25% of net revenues). This loan will increase the likelihood that his business will generate enough cash to repay the loan within the designated time period.
