Kings Way Group's story

Rakia is 25 years old, married, and the mother of two children. Currently, all her children attend school. She sells smoked fish, which she started doing three years ago, in the community where she lives. Rakia prepares and serves her customers with very tasty and good quality fish, and because of that many customers buy from her stand. She buys stocks of fishes from the fish mongers in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana. She has a high customer base, and the customers travel from the other part of the surrounding communities to buy her fish. She is requesting a loan to upgrade her stock of fish. She dreams of giving her children a quality education. So do the other members. She is the leader of a trust bank group called ‘Kings Way’. She is the one sitting in the middle in the group photograph. Most of the members of this group are small traders, food vendors, and farmers respectively. In this group, members guarantee for one another as social collateral to access the loan and peer pressure to repay the loan. They would be grateful for your assistance.
