Fridah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy quality vegetable seeds so Fridah can begin horticulture farming.

Fridah's story

Fridah is a repeat Kiva borrower who has an impeccable credit history. She is a self-driven mother who believes she has what it takes to make a difference in her remote village and farm. Her zeal and drive made her start practicing mixed farming a few years ago. Her family is the greatest thing in her life, and they give her a feeling of accomplishment.

Although she has only farmed for the past few years, she is working hard and learning good farming practices. The many obstacles that she has faced have not been setbacks for Fridah, because she has been earning great profits through farming.

Fridah’s remote village is in an area that has beneficial conditions for horticulture farming: good climate and soil, a transportation system and a market. Fridah has always wanted to diversify and start horticulture farming, but the biggest challenge she faces is a lack of funds. Therefore she has applied for a 50,000 KES loan through Kiva's field partner Juhudi Kilimo to buy good quality vegetable seeds.

Through Juhudi Kilimo Fridah will be able to take out a loan and through this new venture improve her living conditions and secure her family's future. Please help Fridah accomplish these dreams and get her closer to her goals.
