but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy clothing goods for men, women and children to sell.

Luz Marina's story

Luz is 28 years old; she lives in the city of Otavalo with her 3 year old young son. Luz is a single mother; she had to work from an early age to provide for herself. She left home early because there were many problems at home with her father who has a chauvinistic temperament and beliefs. For this reason she preferred to leave home and find a way to earn an income and enjoy a better life. At the age of 18 she decided to travel to México where she had an offer of work. However she did not have much luck because she was exploited in the workplace. She decided to return to her native Ecuador and look for a way to get ahead. She decided to set up her own business selling clothing which has gone well for her; she has plenty of customers and continues to expand.
Luz needs a loan to be able to buy more clothing goods for women, men and children so she can improve the stock in her shop and meet the needs of her customers.
Luz is very grateful to Kiva for the support provided to her which will allow her to increase sales and income which she will use to give her son a decent life and help her mother.
