Maria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped To buy materials for necklaces.

Maria's story

María is 41 years old, and lives in her own house with her two children; Geraldine who is 17 and Luis Ángel who is 3 years old. For 3 years, she has been selling handicrafts. This business allows her to devote herself to her little son, as he still requires her care. But for this work, Maria requires good eyesight and skill with her hands, since the necklaces that she makes are made with a base of different seeds that are produced in the jungle and the mountains of Peru. When they are finished, they are exported to Bolivia, where there is high demand.

Maria works every day, after leaving her little one at the school, having time to go to her friend's house in order to leave them materials, since she has employed some of them, giving them a commission for every necklace that they make, otherwise they would not be supplied. In the future, she would like to have a more stable business, like a chicken restaurant (specializing in barbecued chicken), but she knows that she has to work a lot in order to achieve it.

This is her fifth loan with MFP, and she is always a very responsible person and punctual with her payments. With the money that she is requesting now, she will buy a larger quantity of materials in order to make the orders that are pending.
