Esther's story

Meet Esther, 37, from Port Loko branch. She is married with 3 children between the ages of 10 and 18 years old. All currently attend school.

Esther runs a retail shop and sells provisions, cosmetics, toiletries, drinks, water, etc. She has been in this business for the past 10 years and works 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes.

Esther requested this loan from BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more provisions, toiletries, cosmetics, drinks, water, and other items to increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve her family's standard of living.

In the next 5 years, she wants to expand to a big shop. She says thanks to the BRAC and Kiva communities for their support.
