Total loan: $1,050

Kaneshie, Greater Accra Region, Ghana / Food

Comfort's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy baskets of watermelon to sell.

Comfort's story

Comfort is 50 years old. She is married and has four children. She lives in Odorkor, a densely populated town in Accra.

Comfort is in a watermelon trading business and has been in the business for twenty years. She usually buys the watermelons from the Ashanti region where it is cheaper and transports it to Kaneshie to sell.

With this loan, Comfort will be able to buy more watermelons to sell to her customers. She believes this will increase her stock and boost her business to enable her to take good care of her children's educational needs and manage her home.

This is Comfort's third loan and she has a good repayment history. She is hopeful that in five year’s time, her watermelon business will expand and she will be able to sell soft drinks in addition.

Thank you, Kiva lenders, for supporting Comfort's business
