Ana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped Buying craft supplies.
Ana is 28 years old; she lives with her tireless little 4-year-old, Nicolás, and with an aunt who helps her with the child when she has to work out of the home. They all live in Ana's own home in the sierra area of Peru. Life for Ana has not been easy - she's a single mother - but every day she wakes up eager to go to work. She is a secretary at her church's office, which is near her house. She also makes crafts that are used in early education and which she sells successfully at her bookstore/general goods store. She learned to make didactic materials out of craft foam at a young age; she has the ability to make all sorts of drawings and to give them creative form on a strong material. When she found herself alone, she started putting into practice the craft she herself had learned and this has pushed her to prosper. Ana not only owns her own bookstore, but also prepares and sells "anticuchos" (cow heart kabobs and barbecued potatoes). Ana is such an entrepreneurial woman, that she is planning on expanding her bookstore/general goods store and on continuing to prosper in order to give her little son an opportunity to become a professional. This is the second loan Ana is requesting from Kiva partner MFP and she is confident she will be timely and responsible with her payments because she wants to continue being a part of her community bank, whose members are hardworking people like her. With the money from the loan, Ana will buy materials to continue creating crafts. She will also stock her bookstore to increase her sales.
