Bendición 3 Group's story
Mauricia is 41 years old, she grew up with her parents, they were poor, but gave her the opportunity to study, she could study to the fourth grade, she decided to work and help her parents. She got married at the age of 16, she thinks her life changed a lot, because her husband was very attentive and respectful and did not send her to work to the field, they always have supported each other, and look for give the best to their children. She has obtained six credits, all she invested in a Veterinary Shop: 1. With her first credit, she bought construction materials and built the store. 2. Her second credit let her complement her local and buy more veterinary products. 3. She invested her third credit in buying counters to equip her veterinary. 4. Her fourth, fifth and this year credit, she has been investing in counters and products to expand the veterinary. Mauricia feels very satisfied because each of her credits have been very helpful for the growth of her business which generates very good profits, which let cover her family expenses. Mauricia is the leader of Bendición 3, the group is integrated by five women, all from the Ladino ethnicity. The group will use their loan for agriculture 60%, health 20% and 20% retail. On average, each member of the group has 3 children, the average age of the members of the group is 32 years old. 66% are illiterate, 17% did not ended their Primary education, and 17% did ended their Primary education.
